Rose of Sharon

The Rose of Sharon (Hibiscus syriacus) is a shrub with large, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom from late summer to mid-autumn. The flowers can be white, pink, red, purple, or violet. 

Appearance 

  • The flowers have five petals and a prominent stamen
